p.1 #1 · Old-school Skater, not complete worksafe....
Hi all
Yesterday I was out shooting this series. It has been planed for a long time. Firstly I had to persuade the model to do the shooting. Halldor is actully a photographer him self and he is a big guy from Iceland living i The same city as me. after that I had to find the right close and gear for the shoot. I wanted it to be a edgy/funny series....

funnily enough I prefer the portrait over all of them. That portrait is amazing.
I would suggest scuffing the board, scratching the kicks a little more, or even alot to give it a slightly more realistic feel as if he has actually skated on it.
Nice clarityt and lighting though, and humourous concept. Nice work, may I ask what this was shot with.

Hi Tim and Adam
Thanks for the nice words...
Adam: That was a great idea with the board and kicks.. I will look on that. About gear; I have used a Nikon D300 with the 17-55. Light was one Bowens Flashhead with either a beutydisk or a softbox... a reflector and a SB800 as slave unit.

Hi Todd
Thanks for the nice words.. I used a softbox on the last one. Placed it so it lit direct from the side. almost opposite, but a little to the right I have a reflector where I bounce a Nikon SB800 speedlight in to get some light from the back and give the face some edgy light and light up the smoke

all shots are decent to good. but the portrait is awesome. i love it the way it is, but would also like to see some different interpretations in pp. how about a B/W with slightly deeper shadows or blacks? if you shot raw and can output again, please do. i would love to see more versions. top notch portrait.
