Howdy all. Could someone tell me if it is possible to mount a Contax 645 lens to a Canon body? In particular I'm interested in this lens, Apo-Makro-Planar T* 120mm f/4.0.
If it is possible do any of you have experience with this lens?
I like the idea of using a medium format 1:1 macro lens with the 1dsmk3 and a shift adapter.
Thanks,
Dan
Thanks for the replies. Will the 120 makro stop down manually or does it need a special adapter? I'm not interested in autofocus functions.
Thanks,
Dan

Bummer, I was hoping it wasn't an electronic shutter. Are there any 120mmish medium format 1:1 macro lenses that are manual aperture and have similar image quality to the 120 contax 645?
Thanks,
Dan

I think there are quite a few of great 135 macro lenses. Unless you have already own a 120 system, there is no point going through the hassles. Just my 2 cents.
My goal was to be able to mount a medium format macro lens with a zoerk adapter so that I could stitch macro shots. My main concern is the resolving power of some medium format glass when coupled to a 1dsmk3.

Will it be a shift adapter? That would be a big plus when using medium format, otherwise I don't see the advantage of using MF.

conurus.com is working on that adapter but it isnīt for sale yet. you should expect it to be quite pricey.
