I emailed Canon USA and was told that warranty is not transferrable even you have the receipt and a blank warranty card.

Canon warranties are non-transferable Mr. Ocampo. The warranty on your
product is valid for the original purchaser or for whom it was
purchased as a gift.
Who is to say the buyer of said product isn't the person "for whom it was purchased as a gift?" They just gave the seller a "gift" of money at the same time
So this basically shoots down any whining posts in the future for buyer of used lenses who expect free service at Canon. If they get it, rejoice, Canon is being lenient. If not, well that's their stated policy. Before the flaming starts, AFAIK this is the typical warranty policy of most manufacturers for most products--it's good for the original owner only.
