p.1 #1 · LCD Monitor Hood

Not sure which forum to post this in. I am looking to get a monitor hood for my 24" LCD display. Wanted to know if anyone out there has experience with these and could reccomend a brand or website to buy from. My google search has produced limited results. Thanks.

Why not make one out of cardboard and spray paint it black? Or will it be visible to clients and you need it to look professional?

I've never seen one available separately. I made one from black solid-core illustration/mat board, taped together at the edges with black gaffer's tape and Velcro'ed to the monitor. It looked nicer than the somewhat cheesy IMHO blue vinyl thing that came with a friend's LaCie and works great.

Which 24" display? NEC sells a monitor hood for its 24 and 26 inch monitor. It is $99 and I really like it for my 2690wuxi.

It is a 24" Dell Ultrasharp.
It is just for my personal use, not something that clients will see.
I don't want to gum up my monitor with any velcro or tape, perhap I can counterweight something instead.
