Well, not much to be happy about with a dismal 49ers season, but I did like this picture. I've only just begun doing any sports photography. I'm very impressed with everybody's work. Hope you like it.

i love the pics , the drag racing shot is my favorite but i'm a drag racer so i am prejudiced by that . they are both fantastic shots .
i dont know how to post a pic on here yet but i will add some of my amatuer pics of drag cars in action from my local tracks .

i haven't went back and seen all the pics of the others yet and will when i get a chance . ted evans

this is my first attempt at posting a pic . it's not my best but it is MY car that i will be racing in the coming seasons here in michigan . it is an all steel 1962 plymouth wagon that holds the record for the"fastest all steel street legal car on the planet ." the car did that with the former owner and engine but went 198.5 mph in the qtr mile and 7.41 elapsed time at a weight of 3500 lbs .

i will put some better pics on the other page so i can load a couple here . sorry if i'm in the wrong place to try this but i didn't know where to start . ted evans

As I mentioned on the landscape forum, I've been busy and have not posted here at FM forums in a while (I was surprised to find a sports forum now!). I always found time to get out and take pictures though. :-)

this is my favorite pic i took this past summer .

it was taken from over 700 ft away with my olympus c-730 with a b-300 1.7 telephoto lens

i agree duncan , todd , great pic for sure !

i had just bought the add on lens and it was my first time out to the drags with the camera . i plan to get many more in the next seasons . i sent the pic here to the track ownner and the next week he let me get up close to the track and the 2nd pic is from up close where all the track photographers get . the 2nd one is just the c730 on it's own . you pic the better . the closer is a clearer shot but it was only 30 ft away vs. 700+

Wow! Some incredible shots here!

I don't shoot a lot of sports, but had the once in a lifetime chance to shoot a couple of innings from the first base photo box at Camden Yards. This one was one of my favorites:

I would have to say my Best Sports of 03 is a sport that I don't even have much interest in (aside from maybe a photo subject)

I stopped these guys and asked if they would mind if I hung out and snapped a few shots. Full Gallery Here (I've since did a little contrast adjustments and they are GREAT)
