Sorry, doesn't do anything for me. Maybe it's the color, or maybe it took me a second to realize that her back was facing me, and that she was walking forward in a hall. Hard to recognize at first.

gotta agree.......probably would have been stronger if were shot with a more "wide" angle.
Also sorry. I do not care for the shot either. But you are right, if the bride liked it that is what is important. By posting, if you are asking for input. I am not good enough to tell you how to fix it, just that it is not something I would like.
And for me, that's what my work is about. It doesn't take much to please a bride, artistically. It takes a LOT to please myself. And I want my work to be a reflection of what pleases ME, rather than what pleases a client. I want them happy... but happy with what makes ME happy.

Yeah but this isn't YOUR work.....it's mine.............and it pleased MY bride....$$$$$$$$..
It is very hard to have a proper verticals in every shot, it is very easy/lazy just to tilt it and call it a style (a lot of people do so, unfortunately).
The tilt can not be "signature style", it's like saying about OOF shot -yeah, it is OOF, BUT it is MY signature style! kidding?
in fact from the first look I could not tell if bride was coming or going. The left hand looks awkward, yellow tint, huge DOF...nothing in this shot does it for me. I'm sorry if that was your "pick" to put on C&C, I'm confused about the reason.
Getting a tripod or watching verticals will help to improve your "signature style".
Hmmmm,,lets see......fleeting moments, seconds to shoot as action is just happening all around you..................great PJ cap's happeing everywhere......
To bride......." oh wait, hold that pose, as i set up my tripod, attach my camera, level it, adjust it, arrggggh, raise it, ".............
"Where did the bride go ?".........."oh she got tired of waiting".................
Hey, i'm a REAL old school photographer.........started with a Pentax K1000 as my first REAL camera...................then graduated to Hasselblads as a wedding photographer......
Im probably more traditional and produce TOO much traditional work in the opinions of many here...................but i do know what brides want.........and i give it to them...........thats what makes money.......and money is what pays the bills............
Luckily, as a business owner, i can produce whatever i want and if my clients love it and pay me big $$$$$$ for it, then it's all good...................

I thought a person went into business to make $$$$$$$$ and to perform a service that he was excellent at and had fun performing ? Thats why i do it...........I could be gutting hogs at a packing house, but that's not fun.......and frankly theres just too much blood for me............im sqeamish.........
I'm far from a great photographer, but i give my clients what they want.........and i don't have to work for someone else, taking orders from some nit wit half my age.......i call the shots, have an excellent life, family, home and friends........and thats why i started MY business......................for my life..........
