This is a juvenile Common Goldeneye--at my local park
The image is taken at an outlet of a slough that runs under the road. Irresistable to these guys who come up in the narrow channel to dive for crabs. Good for me--they are CLOSE!
All taken with the 1DMKIII 300/2.8 IS + 2X TC
1.Sitting pretty.

Were you in a hole for this picture? Nice low angle on these. I like the inclusion of the surf bubbles.

I actually have taken up snorkeling

This is a very unusual place--the sides of the bank are very steep when the tide is out---and you can really get low. I did have the monopod and my feet in the water.

What harmony, you put it all together and I got to enjoy it. Sounds nice to be soaking your feet in the water, here in Ohio you can walk on it right now, and that is not a good thing either!

Bonnie, A great set that generated another smile. It looks like that crab pinched the little guy in the last shot - looks a little shocked.
