"Sorry to hijack the thread. Just had something to say"
Rode through there in 1990. I had a bike. Late Wife had a bike. Her brother and his new wife rode together.
Had some Elk in our campsite and only saw a few Grizzleys by the road. Have only seen Blackbears around here in Ontario. After the wife say grizzleys and the signs at the forest rangers lodge. It became a fearful part of our holiday. Yes we hung the food from trees. Wife asked it we should sleep in the trees. Tough guy that I am, declined.
We all survived the trip from Banff on North.
Wife and I went for a beer in Jasper. The waiter took quite a liking to me. Well, we were weaing leathers and all. Wife teased me about that all the way back home.
This was about half way through our trip. Her brother and his new wife liked to sleep in. Some words got spoken. Alex, her brother bought her a 'Bear Bell' While we were in the park she never took it off.
Had some fun on the glaciers. We're all dressed in leathers and boots. Most others were in shorts and maybe a wind breaker. We had a snowball fight. No one wins or loses one of those. It was fun. Even the kids joined in. Then we made snow 'Angels'. Kids wanted to do it but it really was snow and ice, even if it was mid July.
