p.1 #1 · Elk Hunt Feedback Wanted

Elk Hunt Feedback Wanted

I just finished the "Go On A Elk Hunt" page on my web site and I am looking for feedback. Good or bad feedback is wanted. The idea is when someone goes on this elk hunt they may reach for the phone and book a hunt. Since we do camera hunts I wanted to include photos of different parts of the hunt. To many photos or not enough photos The reason I am posting it here is I am talking about wildlife hunts and you all do wildlife photos so your input is important to me.

I am not trying to sell anything here on the forum I just want some ideas on what I might change to make it better. Any and all ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. I am getting ready to leave on a winter Elk & Big Horn Sheep hunt (My goal is a 325 point Bull Elk Or Larger) so I am looking for ideas I can use if I do a page about this hunt I am getting ready to go on. Also I want to do 4 hunts one in each of the seasons I plan on one of the hunts being a Spring Osprey hunt, the summer hunt and fall hunt I just don't know yet what to do. So the lay out or the way they look is going to go a long ways in helping make it a successful idea.

Thanks in advance. Here is the link to the 4 day elk hunt page.

Hey Roger,
The one thing that I would suggest is in the pictures where you have the Elk enlarged in the circle...what about pointing out where in the background picture that Elk is actually at? Kind of like you did where you have the words and an arrow pointing to the location you are talking about. To me this would point out the difficulty in spotting them and the need to hire.

I know when I look at the images, they are wonderful btw, but I try to find the elk in the "larger" picture and can't.

Anyway, my 2 cents worth.

Glen

Thanks Glen, I think you have a good idea. I think when I get back I am going to add photos that show it like you are talking about.

Thanks again Glen, just what I need are ideas.

While I don't agree with hunting, its something that cannot be stopped and is even necessary in some places, (like in west Virginia). Other than that, excellent pictures but I will reiterate that an arrow showing the location would be helpful.

As I explained in the post above these are CAMERA hunts. I am going to get some photos while on the CAMERA hunt I am leaving on tomorrow so I can include the arrows. That I agree is a really gooood idea.

Thanks again and I am sorry for not including Camera Hunts on this page. It is on the link to this page but there is no way you all could know that.

Just go to Jasper, Alberta in the Fall. The elk wander through town and you don't have to hunt for them.

I could go to a lot of different places like the big spot in Wyoming where they are feed them everyday. For me a big part of the Hunt is finding them, figuring out how to get with in picture range and not disturb them.

Roger, I think the "Camera" hunt is an excellent idea. I an not sure that I could handle four days of that type of activity but a couple of days I think would be a lot of fun and educational. I don't have any suggestions for the site you are working on but will get back to you. Camera Elk hunts, Osprey outings and other types of day trips might work also. Steve W
