After the early morning shoot at the Bosque we decided to drive the farm loop road a couple of times. Barbara was driving and we planned on doing stop & go shots. We saw something move ahead on the bank so Barbara slowed up REAL slow and when I said now she stopped since I already had the door open she was stopped for only a instant. I stepped down into the bank across the road from the Pheasant. The Pheasant was watching the car as Barbara continued on down the road until she was out of site.
We have a couple of cock pheasants living in a hedge at the bottom of the garden and despite seeing them every other day, I have never got this close to them. Great shots.
