p.1 #1 · Need help selecting my best shot.

I know its going to be completely Opinionated but basically I'm entering a small competition (quite small really) and need to choose 1 shot to send in, and was looking for some suggestions. its open field so any shot.

Thanks.

Here is my album, will get around to putting up just the top 3 or 4 shots ASAP.

Not sure what to suggest. I like the B&W shots alot and would've picked "Wall Ride" if not for the blown sky. But all things considered, I think I prefer "Lonely Shoe". Not only is the shot great and colorful, my imagination gets kicked into overdrive trying to figure out the story behind the photo. I love photos that tell stories, they're so much more interesting than just a pretty shot.

Good luck in the competition,
Chad

I vote for the shoe - it's focused and as Chad points out conveys a story. The bicycle shots are not nearly tight enough and the others, except for "tree outlooking...' (horizon is tilted I believe) and 'arbutus tree' don't really grab my attention - I'm a sucker for 'tree' shots.

My top 3 preferences in order of preference:
Purple flower
Shoe
Bycycle Tire
They are all unique and have a mood. Technically the flower is best but the shoe the most interesting.

The shoe would be better if not framed so tight to the edge
The bycycle tire would be better with a faster shutter

Lots of your landscapes have a person in them - I think that only works if it is telling a story not just standing there.

Your sports shots are interesting but most soft and I would only enter them if the subject was sports shots.

Why don't you post your top 5 in a poll and get a reaction. "New Poll" button at top.

Voted for the shoe in the other thread you posted, still think it's the best!

Good luck...
