There's that fence, again. I like the way the fence holds the image together. I have always liked "Big Sky Country', and this image backs up the title.

My observation from northern winters: cloudy days are warmer, bright sunny days (such as in this shot) can be brutally cold... I think I'll go put on an extra sweater and have a cup of hot chocolate.
This picture is beautiful, the dark coloured horses and fence are strong offsetting elements against the huge sky and snow.
Incidentally, 5 of the horses seem to be "grazing"... what are they eating?

These horses are well looked after and fed well by their owner but when he puts them out for a run they eat alfalfa stubble through the snow.
