With that kind of reach it doesn't matter where you subject is, just point the front of the lens and you're sure to get the shot.

Not really, point it horizontally through the atmosphere and your image will be completely destroyed by haze and heat distortions.

Yeah, I got one. It back focuses, so I sent it back to Canon
