p.1 #1 · [Time Lapse Movie] I made an HDR, Time Lapse
I've never seen an HDR, Tonemapped Animation/time lapse film so I gave it a try. It takes for ever to render but it's kinda neat. Also I don't think I could have pulled this off without my 1d3.
It also takes forever to setup. You take three pictures (+3, 0, -3) per second and then after a few hours (and 10000 images) you render each one (takes about 30 seconds for each) and finally combine them. This is about 10% complete. I'm going to do this in a more interesting place but like I said. I wanted to get the kinks out first.
p.1 #3 · [Time Lapse Movie] I made an HDR, Time Lapse
Interesting idea, I do have a couple questions though:
Assuming you're using auto bracketing, wouldn't this be easier to do if you wired a circuit to do it automatically? I'm assuming the 1d3 supports wired remote triggering, so you could just plug the circuit in. (Or is the 1d3 automatically tripping the shutter for you?)
Secondly, why such a short time between frames? Wouldn't a 15-30 second lapse in time make more sense? (Shorter video for a greater change in light etc.)
Not knocking your techniques at all, just curious.
