I love every aspect of it- even down to the antennae blur. What ss were you using to get the perfect focus of the face, yet the movement in the antennae?

John - very cool shot ! nice and natural colors - nailed the DOF and angle. Probably one of the best mantis shots I have seen ! I hope when I get the chance to get something this good.

Amy, the shot was taken @1/250, but but but .. as it is grossly underexposed, the actual speed is the one of the flash. It was in TTL mode so I do not know the exact speed, faster than 1/1050 for sure.

I must say that the blurr of the antennae is sheer luck.
