p.1 #1 · Palm Springs Birds

Took a drive out to the desert to warm up a bit, I forget how short the shooting window is in PS with the sun dipping behind the mountains by about 4:00 pm. Bird activity is pretty good this time of year. Here's a roadrunner.

Laura,

both shots are superb. Excellent job and very sharp images. I spent last winter in Palm Springs working. I was working as a Traveling Nurse in the Level 2 Trauma Center ER at Desert Regional. Oh what an interesting place to be....... Great in the winter but it was time to head out before summer

thanks Anthony. I lived in PS for 6 years (summers and all!) and grew to love the flora and fauna of the area, although nowadays I doubt I could tolerate that climate year 'round. Winters however do ROCK!

Wow Laura, the detail and texture on the RR is exceptional, and the Phoebe is a very close second! Excellent work.

Great job Laura... mhmm, you in Palm Spings enjoying the warmth, and me sitting here wondering just how much more snow we will be getting, and how much colder it will get.
Love the roadrunner shot the best.

Really nice Loura. I like the background on Say's Phoebe, making it really stand out.

And along with all the others I also really liked the RR.

They are both excellent shots, Laura, properly exposed, tastefully composed, and with beautiful detail. I'm partial to the first one, though.
