Hello, folks.
I've been lurking in this forum for a while now and am just now getting around to posting a few of my own photos. The content of this forum is both inspirational and intimidating! The photos below were taken during a vacation to Puerto Rico in 2005, shortly after I first bought my DSLR. I'd like to think that I've improved over the past 2.5 years and I'm more confident now that I can separate the somewhat decent photos from the garbage!
Any comments or criticism are welcome.
#2 - This was taken from Yokahu tower in El Yunque National Rainforest. I also hiked to Mt Britton Lookout Tower, which had an even more impressive view. The park really is beautiful and has plenty of trails and wildlife to keep one busy. http://www.gluggle.com/luke/images/puertorico/PuertoRico-3.jpg
#3 - I'm having a hard time remembering which beach this one was taken at. Not the best sand, but it was quiet and serene. I've toyed around with the idea of cropping part of the top out to focus more on the large cloud and mountain in the background. http://www.gluggle.com/luke/images/puertorico/PuertoRico-5.jpg
Glad to see you posting some shots! My favorite is the first one, that is almost a dizzying view as you shot it. In #2, I would rather the horizon not be dead center, but I like what you were going for there.
