Beautiful control over the tones in this one. I really like the sky detail, and texture of the water. You have captured beauty in what would be for most people a mundane scene.
Thanks all. What a beautiful area on the California coast that is. Can't wait to get back over there for more than just a morning. I think I have a conference in March where I can spend a couple of days shooting.

Nice shot. Nice lighting. I think if you slowed your shutter by choosing the smallest aperture, and maybe doubling up on your polarizer, you would get the painterly movement in the water, which to some (like me) would take it to the next level.

Still, beautiful as it is.

Thanks Mark,
I like your suggestion. Not sure about changing the aperture, but perhaps a ND vari that I've been thingkin about purchasing to slow the movement down would be nice. Jeeze your photos from your trip are good. I'm working on it......

There is a surf spot called ghost trees near there. If you're there & there's tall water (30-40' high) you might get some good surfer shots.
Good shutter speed & nice job, that shot didn't call for silky water...
