After a discreet absence due to an interesting trip for the center of Spain, I want to share with you some of the images captured during the same one.
This is one of the monuments or constructions that I consider more beautiful of Spain:
The Fortress of Segovia. It reminds me, for some reason, to Walt Disney.
I hope you like it.
A handsome series of a classical , fairyland castle , firmly rooted in medieval reality . What a wonderful state of preservation , and clearly well worth a visit away from your beloved coastline ! Excellent colour-work and composition , and I love the dappled foreground and that fine , summery sky as background .
I recall the wonderfull day my wife and I spent in Segovia 2 years ago. A tour of the Alcazar, a delightful lunch, and a afternoon of exploring down to the Aquaduct.
Usted hace mi nostálgico para la casa de mi corazón, España. Gracias.
Yes, I know it, I have two repeated images (?...) but for some unknown and mysterious reason I can't delete the extra or redundant image.
Very sorry for it.
What a grand sight!
It does remind of Disney! Really neat architecture, lovely lighting and your perspective seems to enhance the majesty of the castle!
I love how it's built right into the ivy(?)-draped rock outcropping.
Great work, Javier!
Glad to have you back, you have been missed! Cool looking castle. I think I favor #2 the best, though I think you could lose a bit more of the grass in it.
I like the vertical comp with a bit more grass cropped out as well. In #1 the building in the lower-left and the branch top-right are a bit distracting. Does anyone else think the grass has a weird texture? Detail lost in JPEG conversion? Otherwise, I really like #2.

Ummm... I do think it's the other way around, actually, that Disney castles look similar to this.
On the other hand, I'm sure Disney has copyrighted the design, and in a couple of years, they'll make their first attempt at collecting licensing fees from this and other European castles

Thanks a lot for your really kind comment. I'm very glad to remember you with these images an, probably, unforgettable trip with your wife. And, yes, to taste the superb roast pig or lamb in Segovia is an unique experience...
Another "nostalgic" picture: hope your wife and you like it too.
Thanks, again, for your comment.
