You boys are in need of help . When my husband suggested I remove my camera from the table because the crazy kitty might jump on the table and knock it off, I gave him "the look" and that was the end of that .
So remember - give 'em "the look" first and that'll be the end of it.

You women are better at the "look". I practiced today so we'll see if it works. She'll
probably laugh and/or mock me and probably withhold certain "favors"...this could
backfire and the 'monkey will be left with feathered friends. Damn table!!

What good is a camera if it's hidden away in a bag in your closet. I try to keep mine as accessible as possible and my wife is quite accommodating--actually she gave up on me a long time ago. I've got a good a photo that illustrates the "grab and run' principle quite well. It's a bit off topic so rather than post it I'll provide a link.

My kitchen table has been taken over by cameras & lenses - - not to mention my computer & every thing else. We eat on the table a few times each year unless we have family visiting..... Heaven forbid I'd have to give up my workspace in the kitchen.... I'm a woman after all.

Congratulations to the shots & excellent hearing.

Nice shots Will, but you require that extra step of picking up the camera from the table and swinging it around. My same setup, 40D, 300 f2.8, 1.4x is on the tripod right in front of the sliders, I just need to approach it slowly if a coopers or pileated is outside. Of course, this only works until the late spring whence the screen slider replaces the glass one.

Nice hills in the background Will, oh yeah, nice shots of the Sandhills out the door of your house. Some people just live right. rw
