I took these photos near sunrise in the Mt. Baker area in Washington. I hiked into this area in my snowshoes hours before sunrise. It was cold but beautiful. I will appreciate any comments or critiques.
I really like the first one. I love the feeling of being so alone and peaceful when you get out to a location like this one in the early morning hours.....seems to make all the effort and lack of sleep worth it.
The first three really do it for me. Each captures that ethereal, post-storm, transient (to quote Ian Cameron) light that often embodies and defines our mountain environment laden with fresh winter snow and ice.
They're all just gorgeous, and I agree that the 1st is tops.
My only thought is that #s 2 and 3 would benefit from a little tighter cropping. I feel like my eyes are wandering around a lot, looking for a focus. Would the ethereal feeling be lost by tightening them up a bit.
