p.1 #1 · Browser Acting Up... Help.

Im having some weird things happen lately with my computer when visiting forums. In particular here on Fred Miranda when I go to visit a page I have to click the refresh button to get the most up to date information. If I don't hit refresh when going to a new page the results im view are locked in from when I last viewed the page (usually the previous day).

On another forum everytime I view my PM box the same PM keeps popping up as new even though I have read it 3 times now alread.

Is there some setting or something that I may have accidentally clicked to cause this to happen?

Do the following:
1-Start Internet Explorer
2-Click on Tools
3-Click on Internet Options
4-Click on the General Tab
5-Clcik on Settings in either the "Browsing History" or "Temporary Internet Files" box. This depends on the version on IE you are using
6-You will now see a section that says "Check For newer versions of stored pages"
Make sure that Automatically is checked.
7-You can also set the amount of cache to use on this screen but if the above works I would leave it alone.

Good luck.

Mslansky's suggestion is definitely better than mine as zero cache could slow things down. Thanks for the tip.

Make sure that Automatically is checked.

Yes! Automatically is the browser default.
