p.1 #1 · D300 does NHL Hockey

Shot the Vancouver vs. New York game on Wednesday. I used my D300 and 70-200 2.8.
Just from this one game, I feel that the D300 is a faster and more responsive camera than the Canon 1Dmk2n I used all summer.

Beautiful images. Love the Luongo shot.

IMHO I would like to see the images at 650-700 on the long side to show more of the detail.In your final image the fans are most interesting to me but it's hard to see their expressions in this size.

Maybe it's just me and my 19" dell ?

Great shots... good WB, good punch...

My only "nit" is not a whole lot of variety in the series... no puck carrying shots, but still some very nice tight crops and expressions. Kudos.
