Has anyone used a chromakey backdrop with a model? I want something that will allow the magic wand tool in photoshop to knock out her hair. It never seems to work with all the strands but I was thinking a chromakey backdrop might help.
If you want to replace a solid color background in a still image it is best to use a white background. White is a neutral color and will not cause a color shift and because it is white you can place the new background on top and blend tho old image in using multiply mode. the old white background will not change anything in the new background. You don have a problem with chromakey color spill in the fringe areas. When taking the shot light the background separate from your subject. Have distance between you subject and background you want no shadows on the background. blow the background out. A tutorial http://mouseprints.net/old/dpr/ReplaceBG.html
WOW!
Thanks, thats just what I was looking for. I will find a bright white muslin backdrop to use. I suppose a flat one. I have an attachment made for my alien bees light which can blow out the background.
