Hi Dan ! Great idea !
I personnally find it too busy. After few seconds looking at the picture it leaves nothing in particular to focus on and to be honest without the title I would have a hard time guessing what it was. Just my two cents.
Shots with narrow DOF are very hard to elaborate IMO and need lots of tries.
I can agree that it's a little busy, I'll keep it mind next time around. I did have an identical shot, but with more DOF. It presented the opposite problem of what Julien mentioned though. It was difficult to find a focus point because DOF was greater. Hmm, something in between for next time. Thanks for the comments!
Nice concept. I don't think the depth of field is the problem and it probably helps, but I think the shot could have used better composition. I would say too many seeds spread a bit too randomly in the shot prevents my eye from focusing at any particular point. I hope this helps.
Hi Dan! Welcome to FM and your first WA. Lovely color, lighting and concept.
Some of our most talented members have already given you great notes, so I'll let them suffice.

Best wishes, Steve S.
Agreed. Fewer seeds, more pleasing composition, and (in my opinion) I would focus on the front seeds and let the blur go back from there. (as opposed to having a blurred foreground.
Thanks Philly Rains and Carrol, I appreciate your suggestions. FM has turned out to be a real find, It's been difficult for me to get honest and helpful critique elsewhere. I definitely be contributing more...
