Very nice series Socrate. I enjoyed all of them, but my favorites are 1,6, 9 and 10. I love the texture in the peeled bark branch, it works well with these guys. Herb
Thanks for your comments, Herb. I spread some suet on those branches.

Wonderful collection of shots. I really like 1,2 and 6 out of a beautiful group. We had a nothern flicker nest someplace in our neighborhood - never could find it - beautiful birds - fun to watch. Steve W
Thank you, Steve. I hope you will find that nest and soon we can enjoy some nice shots.

Extraordinary series Socrate! Always a pleasure to view your posts, the detail, color and bgs are super. Hard to pick a favorite, but 1 and 9 stick out for me.

Very cool--Socrate.
Stunnig colors and sharpness--my favorite is the upside down downy.
Unusual shot--and it works for me!
Thank you Bonnie. The downy in the upside shot, was actually hiding under the branch, which is a common behavior of woodies when something scares them.

I tried my best to pick a favourite but to no way...can't decide...all of them have something special! just dam* perfect!!
May I ask what set-up you used for these shots? I'm starting birding myself...although i'm far far away from your results..but trying to understand more about what people use in order to get these results! Ths for sharing.
