Congrats -- top notch stuff here

PS I would love to know the lighting details on the pony tailed one in July, just an awesome shot

Thanks for the kind words. Lighting was 2 shoot through umbrellas to the left and right.

Hello Jason,

Wonderful series of children.

Some of the very best I have seen.

I assume these are your children. Both cute. Lucky you to have such willing and fun 'models' to work with and so convenient to you too.

Many of your photos in the series are highly creative and admirable. Well done!

Your sense of humor, use of camera angles, diverse effects, and use of the individuals and the two together are splendid and refreshing to see.

The overall quality is so high, it will humble many photographers. While I do find some more appealing than others and

Thank you Steady Hand. Yes, both are my children and yes, they work for peanuts...well, fruit snacks and crackers actually.

Fantastic! You have a great talent and your kids are not only beautiful but are at a wonderful age. I am just now getting into photography and my kids are in their teens. They want very little to do with their dad and even less interest in sitting still for a camera. I guess that is just the challenge I have to work with! Keep up the great work.

Thanks, and that’s too bad about your teens. I'm guessing fruit snacks and crackers won't work anymore huh?

Simply amazing work... I once came across your work on flickr/strobist, purely by chance and was amazed. Your command of lighting and technique is astonishing. It is a goal of mine to be able to shoot like you someday.

All the best in the new year!

Thanks for the kind words Jack.

They really are cute, but something must be wrong with your viewfinder because there are a few there where you almost missed getting him in the frame. Too bad.

Responding to you is something I'm not sure of, because it may only feed your pathetic attempts at attention grabbing, but I looked at the posted work and I can't find a single frame that even comes close to fitting the crit you posted. Perhaps if they were all dead center in the frames without any creativity, you would like them better? Indeed, this is some really fantastic work, in my view.

Thanks for the kind words Saraleksi.

Hey Mark, he's actually got the lighting info on his Flickr, if you click the images. Here's the info for the one I think you are asking for.

"Strobist:

2 shoot through umbrellas, one left, one right. Triggered with PW's"

Yeah, lighting details are provided in each shot, and EXIF should be intact.

Incredible!

I have two little ones, and now I feel totally inadequate in my ability to take photogrpahs of them

Might just sell my camera after seeing how far from any good I am- more

Seriously, the best set of child photos I've ever seen from a parent.

Being a parent and taking such photos is UNBELIEVABLEY difficult.

Another WOW!

Other than being absolute fantastic photos...I like that they were created with minimal equipment. Couple of hotshoe flashes and a couple of umbrellas...well, and pocket wizards.

Truly inspiring work.

I'm a HUGE fan of your work since stumbling upon your flickr stream months ago. I'll admit that youre the main reason why I upgraded to a DSLR from a P&S to capture my daughter as she grows.

Keep it up, cant wait to see more as your girls get older.
