Today weather was very cloudy, dark
Not too many birds around, and those that were, were often scared by firework explosions
Managed to produce almost one though!

Regards,

RT.

edit:
1/30sec, F5.6, ISO1000, fill flash -2/3EV
FullFrame, least PS as possible, no NR

the bird is a stunning motion image.....superb.
IMO, the post is too prominant.

Hope you get to shoot more like this

Thanks!
Cropping the post for about a third or so would improve balance.

Thanks Bill!
I've been in Canada twice, and if there's One beautiful country, then Canada it is!
But, Holland has it's things too, sometimes.

Amazing shot RT, I really like it. I agree that the cropping would make it even better, and perhaps clone out the remnants of it's last meal.

Nice effect. I really like this and I would like to try more slow shutter speed stuff myself.

Thanks!

I realized I was hitting the limits with this one (1/30s, ISO1000, 700mm), but had to try it.
The one moment the robin landed, he gave me a quick blink, I pressed the shutter, and the moment the mirror returned in place, the bird was gone.
A quick view at the LCD gave me a little smile though!
