Whenever I have to use a roll of tape I'm forever having to pick at it with a finger nail to find the beginning and I end up making a real mess of it. Where are the scissors when you need them?
Bill, I like the shot a lot. Ver crips and lear. Maybe the cloning on the end of the tape is too noticable though. Possibly using a 100% hardness or a different brush. Just my 2c.

Hmm... didn't see the end of the tape before.. Not a huge fan of the way it came out. I would either rip it for real, or have the tape go off the frame. Just my two cents
Great idea Bill, I like the thought behind this one. I too would like to see the end of the tape more "ridged" than this.... maybe rip it for real like Kevin mentioned?
I really like this image, and keep coming back to it. The control of light generated such a great 3D feel and captures the metalic nature of the scissors. Fantastic! Images like this inspire me to work much harder on lighting.
Scissors like that would never stay that perfect in my house!!
Thank you all for the wonderful comments. I had loads of fun shooting this one and learned a lot.
Cliff, the scissors are around 40 years old since my wife bought them for her sewing kit. I'd say they fall into the category of "they don't make 'em like they used to".
Thank you very much Philly. It's quite an honor for my entry to be chosen particularly when all the others submitted are so terrific. Heck I'm happy to just get a few positive comments during the week.
