Curtis,
Just some info, the Sportster B-1 is from the Mid Atlantic Air Museum in Reading, Pa. The Pres/Curator of the museum is Russ Strine the fellow in the photo behind left wing in (appears to be) in a yellow shirt with the white/gray hair. Fantastic B-25 pilot!

Thank you for the additional info .. that plane is NICE ! The folks here evidently had a heads up that it might show, but were not holding out hopes due to the weather .. He may of been on the ground an hour and EVERYBODY there looked her over !!

I struggled getting good photos of it .. I'm hoping to go to Reading for the June 7th weekend !!

Curtis, fantastic work at the antique fly in yesterday, incluing braving the rain to take some of the images!

Some day I have to get over to the Spitfire hangar in your neighborhood. Do you know if that's open to walk into and check out the aircraft and I believe a couple antique cars? I couldn't find a contact for the hangar.

Paine Field is littered with 787 Dreamliners. Boeing has even leased (and closed) one of the runways to find places to park them.

I really doubt if it's open for walk ins ... ground crew told me a couple of weeks ago the main hangar door was left open while they took a Spitfire out to fly ....... and everybody with airport access was driving by or standing in front of the hangar looking in ....

He used to keep a crew there Saph .. but now they fly maintenance in .. I check it every time I go by in case they open that back garage door again ... THIS TIME I'LL TAKE THAT SPITFIRE SHOT .. was a beautiful yellow - like the t-50 I showed from Horne Point. And some ollllllld car was right at it's wingtip facing away too. There's a LOT of stuff in there ..

I was thinking my powerball # was going to get me access .. but I guess that's not happening.

Well if you had gone down to Florida to buy the Powerball ticket you would have been able to buy all the Spitfires you wanted as well as hangars to store them in

That's cool, I will hope to make it to Reading in June then. Without the Andrews show this year I feel a little deprived And seeing all the super images here from far off places like Texas and Colorado doesn't help

I found this link for the hot air balloon event in September. Perhaps we can convince the hangar owner to allow photography of those classic planes and cars that day.

What do you think Jim that B25 of Steve over the Puget Sound would look very cool on my wall.
One of the best B25 shots I have seen in recent years.

And the coolness is seeing all those faces and lenses pointing at your direction.
