Stuff just gets unbelievably better every day !!

I just never noticed BA F4's were all chipped up like I've seen these photos show .. Could actually be a sign of the times too .. different paint - cheaper paint .. I think I'd of remembered since they are a World Class Show Team. I know for sure when I hung around em on the flight line they didn't walk on em with their boots on like I've seen maintenance photos posted here show .... worst I ever saw was one of the yellow dye packs leaking off one planes left wing one time while parked on the Transit Line while at NAF AAFB

btw, the frozen fingers is easy and anybody can get them.

step1)remove door from airplane
step2)climb to an altitude where temp is about 35 degrees
step3)fly in circles for 30 minutes
step4)enjoy!

Glenn, buddy: wonderful imagery!

After yesterday's blizzard I decided to join the frozen fingers club this afternoon and flew around for an hour with the door open and the lens pointed straight down. Interesting things happen when you reprocess blinding white snow and ice shots to enhance texture and contrast.

We have a new addition here on the farm. We have added a stray Chocolate Lab, we call Mr. Guinness, so our GSD would have a running mate. Took him to the Vet today to make it official. He is clean and good to go with only an ear infection. This is his glamour shot.

As many of you know, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer about 1 yr ago. Early this morning she finished her race and is made whole again. It is with equal measures of sadness and joy that I am leaving for OH in the morning with our children (my wife is already there) to grieve the loss of a wonderful mother and grandmother and celebrate the life of the woman she grew to be. I covet your prayers as we travel and process this loss in our family structure.

She was know for her ready smile and servant heart...

Dear Leo,

I too am sorry for your loss. My thoughts and, more importantly, prayers are with you and your little group. God Bless you all and keep you safe in your travels. These are the times when the rubber meets the road re: "The hope that is within you..........."

My brother in law lost his mother this week. The service will be for an avowed atheist, one who mocked the ignorance of people of faith on a regular basis. It will be attended by her sons, all of whom, under her tutelage, formed similar faithless perspectives. I'm thanking the Good Lord I don't have to give a eulogy at that one!

Corinthians 2:9, the verse God gave to me for the opening of Glenn's eulogy, is one that should warm the hearts of you and your family this week and always.

Zim, well what can I say? Two more "Zimmermann's" find their way into the collection.

Obviously you are on the back side of this little system. I grabbed dinner to go for Bryan Martin tonight because he was on duty in the tower and couldn't leave. We talked and laughed while we watched the wind readout bounce between 28 and 37 kts, and listened to it howl around the tower cab.

BTW, KTKI has been notified that the tower is scheduled to be closed due to sequestration. I'm guessing Glenn's tower at Georgetown is scheduled for the same fate.

yea along with every class D between here and there. Wilson 1 arrival just wont work the same on the CTAF!
