Good read indeed, the bankrupting ourselves in the name of military spending sorta sounds like how we won the cold war, only now we are doing it to ourselves.

That said I hope the 35's come online sooner rather than later.

Hey Kev - I'm shooting a 10K race for the PAO at NAF El Centro on the 9th, so the actual air show at Yuma is out for me. That being said, I am planning on spending part of Friday shooting air show arrivals and practice at Yuma; then off to NAFEC. If the Yuma air show actually happens, I'd be happy to meet you and shoot said arrivals/practice - send me a PM if interested and we can coordinate further.

Hey Jeff, yes I heard about the 10k run/walk at EC, hope you have a good time. I'm not sure when I'll get into Yuma as I'm driving down from Vegas on the Friday but if it's early enough to catch some arrivals I'll let you know. Will swap cell numbers via pm.

I am no fan of a single engine attack aircraft for the RAAF. We have lost four F-18's out of 75 in 27 years of service. I don't think we will be so "lucky" with the F-35.

The price is outrageous as well. Completely over the top.
