Been working at HQ all day getting organized for the next barrage of assignments, which is a very good thing. I've been looking at that blank west wall where the Cheetah Glenn gave me was supposed to reside. When you have a space this size, you have to be very conscious of redundant shapes and textures. so I've been looking for something that would be entirely different in all of those categories, yet enhance the warm masculine feel of the place. Today, after much second guessing and imagining, designing and redesigning a new shelving unit arrived. The patience and handwringing paid off, it's just what that wall needed. I've repaired and refinished my Cub prop, the one I used to remove a parking cone that Cutter left out in the middle of nowhere, it's going up on the west wall to the left of the new shelves. That wooden prop will look great there, and remind me not to be dumber than Cutter. I think that was about as much lemonade as I could squeeze from that event.
The place is not quite ready to shoot, but it's getting closer, and today was a big step in that direction.
