I did - was behind him in the Sukhoi in the run up area. Funny, we were at the fuel pumps getting gas when he taxied by to depart and we were back at the fuel pumps when he taxied back to his hangar!

Great day for flying - experienced my first accidental half snap-roll caused by botching a spin recovery. that will wake you up!

Inadvertent snap rolls are definitely an eye opener, Glenn. Look at it this way: you got two recoveries for the price of one!

Hi Ray:

We did all the waterwork on lake LBJ. He is a pretty new seapilot and thats where he did all his training so thats where he does all his landings for now. I heard all the corp of engineer lakes are off limits to seaplanes - have you ever heard anything like that?

Probably because the lakes they create have tree stumps. Those stumps are a "cash cow" for the watercraft propeller industry. However, Lake Belton is pretty deep for a Corps lake, I think it averages 40-60 feet.
