p.3498 #2 · Mustang Air to Air: The Sequel

Need some Vegas advice. I am going to be heading out to Vegas for a few days for a conference, but I am going to have some free time to get out and explore. I ended up renting a car because I got a cheaper deal on the car than it would cost for a taxi to the hotel on the strip (go figure).

I didn't know if there was anywhere around Nellis AFB that I could go take pictures? I just got a 5D III for Christmas and I am excited to get out and try it out. Looks like I will miss Red flag by a few days, but hoping I might be able to catch some more activity out there.

30 degrees with a 30 knot north wind, hail and sleet. Could have been talked into kipping church this morning but we were on the schedule to serve.

Headed to get my trailer and gear at HQ and begin the BBJ shoot.......Brrrrrrrr! We do funny things for money!

Good spots are the Motor Speed way and E Cheyenne Ave see scramble airfield guide
Always stay on the side of the road of motor speed way do not cross the road and approach the fence.
And don't photograph the infrastructure have fun there is always something happening...

Day two of the epic saga Recuperation in Paradise. Today we managed to stay ambulatory for nearly two hours before the lingering symptoms caught up with us. While we were up and around we spent a little time at the bottom of the valley, with the cliffs towering 1000' over us on both sides and 12-foot rollers crashing on the black sand beach.

If that last shot looks familiar, it probably should: same location, same coffee tree and who knows, perhaps the same cardinal I shot for 2011's Christmas card.
