We have a new deal in class B around here. You must submit, in writing, your request, with a map depiction of your targets, at least 24 hours in advance. I was pleased to see that Jake had all our ducks in a row. What I thought was going to take at least

When it absolutely, positively, has to be there overnight. I just didn't specify which night.

I think we swapped out weather systems: mid-90s here today, with smoky haze from all the wildfires burning in the states upwind of us.

Good one, Jeff!

...but I want more: do you have a frame with the jet a little bit farther above the bright/dark dividing line at the bottom? I'm not sure that would be better, but I think it might be.

Looks like without $omething major changing on the back end I won't be making it to AFW this year.

Thanks Steve. Sorry for my tardy response, but I had some unexpected issues to deal with this afternoon. Now that I have a few moments of quiet time, I can address your question. Here is the only other image from that sequence. The 737 is definitely higher in the frame, but I'm not sure if it isn't too high. I'll let you and my fellow MA2A associates opine on which is more appealing.

No shows here in Viking Land ...so I can't show anything close to those fantastic shots you guys have here... A local RC Club had their annual Summermeeting "Jarlsbergtreffet 2013" yesterday. Fantastic weather and many great RC-planes.

This Gentleman is the oldest RC-pilot in Norway - he built planes during WW2 with Balsa he stole from Mosquitos which were taken by the germans !

The main reason for putting this up was because I've been plaing with frames, but my panning has also been improving slowly (it was a 300 F2.8 plus 1.4x extender!) What a strange propellor boss on the white plane parked on the right
If anyone can suggest a font that is less apparent - one with an 'outside skeleton' would be nice - I'd be grateful

Flodden Remembered..... not sure we've made much progress in 500 years......

This weekend - here in the border country between England and Scotland – folks are commemorating the battle of Flodden in 1513. Many of the local churches and other organisations are holding commemorative events. Thea and I went to Ladykirk church – where they are holding a small and very moveing flower festival.

Seems I'm having an unusually high failure rate on my CF cards in the last six months. Since I've been using CF media I've had very few failures, maybe two. I've had four Lexar 1000X/600X Pro cards go toes up in the past 60 days. I find this very unusual and I'm wondering if it's something I'm doing, like dropping a couple of cards in my pocket to rattle around with my iPhone, or something weird. Lexar replaces them asap, but that really isn't my main concern, I am getting a little nervous about trusting them. I had some Sandisk go south so I switched to Lexar, and this failure rate is higher than my Sandisks. Any thoughts from the brain trust?

Jim,

Did you purchase the cards at the same time?

Sounds like you got a few cards from a bad batch QC wise.

Hey, Jim, I thought you were supposed to handle those cards with respect. I understand, it doesn't take much to make them, "Go South".

Good luck

Tom
