Another from Grimes field. Interesting that the name is not releated to Grimes Field, Ohio. Thats where i believe the rotating beacon was invented.

Harry, these take me back to a place a long time ago and far, far away: we used to land at Grimes field in the family Cessna when I was a kid, something I always looked forward to because the older couple who ran the place back in the early 60's made a great chocolate milkshake. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

This must have been taken just before our formation fell apart and it may not be tack sharp; still, I like it a lot. It never occurred to me when we started flying on Thursday that I was going to end up with a bunch of photos of the Remos: what a treat!

Well that was it the last couple of days were amazing I had a very good time meeting old and new friends.
Special thanks go out to all involved especialy Jim Larry Gunny Beth and crew of the Devil Dog B25
And of course the people from the Cavanaugh museum who were willing to fly for us.
To bad about the weather but hey you can't have it all..
Hope to show some photo's soon couple of free days left unfortunatly not in the U.S.
I'm willing to come back but have to see how things go back home still hunting for that illusive P51 head on shot !!!!! Ripper out !!!

Hi guys!

I was recently privileged to be asked if I could help out a local aviation company who are expanding their fleet of aircraft. APEM are specialists in remote sensing, using a fleet of five aircraft to provide aerial surveys for companies, particularly those looking to develop offshore wind farms.

I visited their new offices at Chester Hawarden Airport in Cheshire, UK, to have a look around and plan future shoots. As the weather throughout the morning had been thoroughly miserable with low cloud and rain, I had not planned to take many shots but on arrival the weather broke, aircraft returned from jobs on the east coast and I was able to get a selection of shots both singularly and as a fleet.

As an added bonus for me, Hawarden is also the home to Airbus, and the manufacturing location for the wings of the Airbus A380. This meant I was able to get a few shots of the Beluga transport aircraft.

Now that looks like the Wiley Coyote and Batman designed their own airplane. Maybe now the Coyote will finally catch the Roadrunner and Batman will catch the Joker.

Definitely a neat looking plane.
