The fun has begun at HQ. I landed in the Remos about 3:45pm to find Jim and Larry deep into the Cheetos. Jay pulled in minutes later. Just before sunset we all piled into the Legend Cub and the Remos (sans doors, natch) for a little formation shoot over The Lake. I was too busy flying to take any photos, but Jay was having a field day, shooting Larry in the back seat of Jim's Cub shooting Jay in the right seat of the Remos...

The two flivvers look good together in the hangar at HQ, eh?

BTW, I heard Fort Worth Center clearing Thunderbird 8 into one of the MOA's that blanket the landscape around Sheppard AFB and Fort Sill. Media flight, probably.

The fun starts all over again at HQ tomorrow morning sometime before lunch. Arriving by 10:30 or so would be good. You'll have to call Shooter to let you in the security gate at the southwest corner of the airport: the hangar at HQ is in the southmost row of hangars on the field, west of the runway.

Jan, we're are a very modest family it doesn't have to be a 1Dx or D800 with 2.8 glass, photos on a iPhone 4S will do just fine until the heavy hitters flood this place and blast through the 3.5million hits.

Somebody sitting next to me is confused about your post and my subsequent reply - so to clarify our plans - we are flying into McKinney at noon tomorrow and eating at Inn n Out Burger at noon:01. The ride I was referring to was from the airport to the hotel tomorrow evening, and from the hotels to Alliance once in Fort Worth.

Looking at the new apple maps app, I see a hanger with a cub and a Cessna single pulled out. I wonder if that is Jim's hangar

Im practicin practicin....I really gotta get my CS5 skills up a level,...or 3...

Came up not too bad for a quick edit...

Got an Aussie Supercar to shoot tomorrow night, ....the owner saw these & has to have some, a red one too, its a Holden Commodore HSV R8, think Pontiac G8 but with an LS3 in it....& nice looking bodywork..

Cant wait..

My L bracket covers the remote port, so,I settled on using a 2 second timer and the mirror up delay. I'm also taking a lot of bracket sets. Not sure how they'll work since I can't try combining them until after I get home.

Those early pilots were especially brave!
