Hi Mark:

The Cardinal is spectacular. I await my first bluejay shot. I just can't get close enough.

Excellent shots Mark. I like the Chickadee shot a lot, but my favorite is #5, love the tilted head in the midst of the wings, great job!

Thanks Ted, I hope you get your Bluejay soon. You're doing a fine job on all your other subjects so when you get the opportunity I'm sure you'll nail it.

Thanks RT, I love the bright color of the Cardinal, especially with a white-snow background.

Hi Bonnie,

That Chickadee was battling some fierce wind. 40mph + that day. Poor little guy could barely hang on. Thanks for the nice comment about the gull shot too.

Thank you. Glad you like the gull. That was taken behind the Burger King and someone had just thrown out part of their breakfast sandwich which brought the gulls close-in. - true story.

Hi Doug,

Good to hear from you again. Glad you liked these. Hey, I'm going to the Eagle Days on January 26th at the Cayuga power plant by the Indiana/Illinois border. If you're interested in going here's the link -http://www.duke-energy.com/environment/stewardship/eagle-viewing.asp

It would be fun to hook up on this one. I've never been there.

Thanks Steve. I appreciate the compliment on the Cardinal and I'm really liking lower light shots of some of my backyard birds. I'm glad you liked the effect on the finch. When the morning light comes in like that it is almost like a studio lighting situation that I really enjoy.

Thanks Chad. Hey, I liked that shot of you in your last post. The one where you were right next to the NWR sign and you had your camo lens.

Very nice! The Cardinal and the Bluejay are super -- the Chickadee looks like it is ready to fly into you! The first #6 is very cool. Steve W

Thanks Hung. I love the look of Bluejays but they are very skiddish. Fortunately in the winter they are easier to get a shot of cause the stick around longer at the feeder.
