Oops, sorry, just read after posting that it is for a MAC, however I will leave this here for the benefit of others that may need to recover on a PC.

Try Undelete-Plus
http://www.undelete-plus.com/

It is an excellent tool and Portable

Thanks for your efforts, Kevin. I was able to get the files back. The Mac and the camera were of no help. I found "FileSalvage" software for the Mac, but the Mac was unable to read the data card.
Fortunately I also have a PC and one of those digital picture viewers. I put the cameras data card into the picture viewer, connected the viewer to my PC, downloaded a program from PC Tools called "File Recover" and, using the deepest scan setting was able to find the files. A $30 "registration" fee and I was then able to recover the files. Well worth it to me. The program was easy to use although previewing the files took a long time - as did the recovering process. Interesting, if you open the folder the files are recovering to you can watch as they are rebuilt (if that is the right word). Wife now thinks I'm a computer hero! ...With a side order of Dunderhead.
Lesson learned - it takes a LOT more time to recover files than it takes to lose them.

Glad you were able to recover the files, that is the main thing.

I am sure Undelete-Plus would have worked, I have used it to recover one of my users complete profile before.

Main thing is, you got what you needed and I am glad it was a happy ending,

Kevin
