p.1 #1 · Pens for signing glossy paper ?

OK ... this is an unusual question ... but I am stumped. I've been using DecoColor Paint Markers to sign and title my images for years but I usually print on matte papers. I have a client that prefers glossy paper and the DecoColor pens "run" on the glossy. The DecoColor produces a fine line on matte paper but a much heavier line on glossy. I don't like it - too bold - takes your eye away from the art.

Can anyone recommend a good pen for glossy paper?

I am using the Ilford Galleria Pearl for this client which I find is a better Epson Luster. A friend of mine tried the regular Sharpie permanent markers but the text didn't age well ("ran" over time) and the ink is not archival.

Here is a thread that may be helpful:

I have to agree with that thread, sign the matte. I use a pencil, can't get more archival than carbon. Of course it could be erased.
A local art framer gave me a hard time once at one of my shows about signing the matte, in his view the print should be signed. Signing the print seems like graffiti to me.
