p.1 #1 · Cleaning kits-who has the deals?

I'm sure I could hunt around Adorama, B&H, Amazon, eBay, etc., but figured I could save some time with the collected wisdom here. Has anyone come across a lens cleaning kit for a good price?

I'm looking for a Giotto Rocket blower (or similar), a lenspen, some fluid and tissue/pads for use with the fluid, and anything else you think is essential. If you know of a kit that has some sensor cleaner too, I might consider that as well.

If you have used any items that you think are particularly useful, I'd appreciate any tips in that regard.

Thanks in advance!

I never did find a decent kit so I did like your above suggests, buy each item you want and be done with it.

Rocket blower.

Lipstick brush; resist temptation to run across oily fingers.

Small bottle of lense cleaning fluid.

Lense tissue paper.

Others, I'm sure, will chime in with their kit suggestions.

I've been able to get by with sensor cleaning by just using the Rocket blower. Keeping fingers crossed that future cleanings will go as well as the past has.

Issus with dust are always going to be greater for some users than others. Dust spots come into play when you are shooting at smaller apertures, so if you're shooting at f4 or larger all the time, then you'll likely have no problems. But if you shoot primarily landscapes, you'll constantly use the clone brush on the sky.

The rocket blower took me a long way, but a trip to the southwest finally led to too many dust spots.

I ended up getting the dust aid system, but it is known to have problems on a limited number of cameras. I like that there are no fluids involved with this system.

I don't have a kit solution for you. You'll probably just have to buy the items one by one.
