p.1 #1 · Shoulder straps...

Who loves their shoulder straps? I currently do weddings and some event work and sports and use primarily 3 bodies, 2 1 series and a 5D. I have an optech and a tamrac. Do you love yours? If so tell me and why.

Thank You,

Tom

Yup, got the Op/Tech. Best strap I've used. It makes even a fairly heavy rig (gripped 20D + 70-200/2.8) seem light and comfortable all day.

Ditto the OpTech as OpTech's the bomb.

It's light, fluffy and rugged but never leaves my shoulder unless I want it too; never a moments grief.

Fourth on the Op/tech! It's really, really great. Go for the reporter version, as it's longer and includes lugs for another camera or even bincos. Although it doesn't come with the stringy loops.

I bought the Op/tech many many years ago to use with my F4s and the 80-200 F/2.8 ED. It was a great relief to use.

Today, the F4s is long gone, but the Op/tech is still with me and in use, but on a D200 with the 70-200VR.

I'm liking the OpTech straps too, I tried the Up Strap and it irritated my neck where I shave my head all the time. The OpTech is much softer/nicer feeling. I wish the quick releases were closer to the camera body, that's my only beef.

The people at Op-Tech are very nice. During a recent expo, I met a man at the Op-Tech booth who offered to make a customized strap for my G9. Turns out he was the president of Op-Tech. That says so much - that in the chaotic state of the expo, he took the time to see what my needs were and then followed through on furnishing it once things quieted down. Excellent.

Op-Tech's Pro strap with Pro Loops are great. Very comfy. Just wish they were a bit longer.

I'm sure the Op-Tech straps are OK, but the Domke Gripper is the best for me. I usually shoot with a 5D and one or two 30D's, with a 24-70/2.8 L, 70-200/2.8 L IS and a few more wider, longer and/or faster.

Don't say that!! It just hurts. That's what my first and second wives said when they left me.

Well, I'm a big Upstrap fan.

Had an optech one. Put the upstrap one on. Wasn't so sure about it so I switched back. That convinced my how much more I like the upstrap. Now I wouldn't change.

I have the Op/Tech on my D2H. It's great except for two things... it's not the most breathable so it gets a bit hot underneath on hot days. It's also pretty bulky in the bag.

The Domke and Think Tank straps are great too. i think I'm going to try out the Think Tank one soon.

The Domke gripper is a comfortable strap that clings to the shoulder.
