p.1 #1 · #275: The Choice

Obsession – to find just the right shot. Ah, here’s a good one…No, maybe not, I should have used a wider aperture, set a custom white balance, changed to spot metering, set a higher ISO, shot in RAW, and used a flash.

Oh, here’s a better one… No wait, maybe I should have used AI Servo for a panning shot, a slightly slower shutter speed, the center focus point, manual mode, been in burst mode, and used a longer, faster lens.

Maybe I should have hung from the basketball hoop so I could get that winning “From the Top” shot for the WA a couple of weeks ago. Maybe I shouldn’t have pushed the referee out of the way so I could capture the winning pin which determined the state champion.

Hey, I found the best image….what’s that…dust on my sensor…a merger of a foot coming out of the athlete’s side…Oh the hours ahead in Photoshop…..

Maybe I should have stayed home…Freaking out in a dizzying blur…..
