p.1 #1 · Costco's Deal: 5D+Pro9000+2 2GB CF Cards for $2,099

Just received Costco's latest adverts.

They are offering the EOS 5D body, plus Canon Pro 9000 Printer plus two (2) 2GB CF cards for $2,099.99 after $500 of rebates.

Here's the link:

Yeah! It almost seemed too good to be true.

Apparently, Canon and Costco are going to move a bunch of 5D bodies and Pixma Pro 9000 Printers.

Although the fine print states this is not a costco rebate. Has to be submitted to the manufacturer...

5% non-membership surcharge $130, better to get the membership in this case if you dont have it.
Plus tax - mine is 5% - another $130

In this case, adorama or calumet might be the better options.

So, Adorama's deal also has the $500 rebate, not the $400 they posted, right?

Regular Price $2598.95
- $111.55Adorama Kit Discount

$2487.40 Regular Price
- $400.00Mail-in Rebate
- $100 extra rebate

$1987.40 for a new 5D and a printer? mmm.....very tempting

$2,543.45 shipped to CA - the $500 rebate ($2,053.45) and if you get rid of the printer for maybe $300, you can get a new 5D for $1700 or so...

I totally agree on this. Costco are 100% better than Best Buy.

Canon usually announces new stuff in February and November. Wouldn't be surprised.

Noticed the rebate's end date (01/2008), which means new 5D?? might be introduced in Feb. next year. I can wait for a couple more months for the 5D's price to drop - without a rebate. I also heard a rumor that Canon was already obtained a new bar code for 70D, anybody can confirm that?
