abqstyle Offline Image Upload: Off p.1 #1 · From the Bargain Basement Newbie . . . Here is an image I shot with a Sigma 600mm F:8 Mirror Lens (no longer in production) on a Pentax K100D DSLR body (900mm equivalent), 800 ISO and using both tripod and image stabilization. I think I had one of those many years ago - did you meter & focus manually or does your body handle that? Scott Stoness Online Image Upload: On p.1 #5 · From the Bargain Basement Newbie . . . Looks really good. Especially for ISO 800 Why would you use image stabilization if you are using a tripod. Image stabilization only stabilizes the shooter not the subject. I have heard that image stabilization is prone to "seek" and cause vibration (noise) when held still. Dec 01, 2007 at 04:13 AM
