Hi Mark,

An absolutely gorgeous reflection here Mark. At first I wondered what the opposites were here, since the shot is so symmetrical, then with the help of the title it dawned on me that up and down are a great example of opposites. Really nice work and good luck this month.

Nice one! Would have liked a little more detail in the clouds though.

Thankyou for your kind words. I went back to the original and took a look at the sky, even in RAW there wasnt a lot there.I could have used a grad filter but that doesnt work with the relection. Maybe i should have done a seperate exposure for the sky and then put the two together in post. Oh well live and learn

No Mark this is a real reflection. If you look bottom right you can see some scum on the surface of the water. I did think of trying to get rid of it but thought id leave it to prove the shot is as was taken. Only PS on this was a crop/levels/highlight/shadow controls.

I was lucky to get it though
Take care

I love reflections, this is one of the best I've seen in a coastal shot. Great contrast and framing. It almost looks like a mirror, instead of water.
Don't worry about the sky, had there been more blue/clouds the light would've been less diffused and the reflection wouldn't have been as striking.

Awesome,
Chad
