p.1 #1 · Beginner Question

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how does one go about paying through paypal when they purchase something from the "BUY & SELL" forum here?

I created a paypal account the other day and have listed some items for sale. When someone wants to actually pay, what do they do?

Go to the PayPal site and click on Help. You will see detailed instructions for both receiving and sending money.

From the PayPal site...

How Do I Receive Money:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click the Request Money tab.
- Enter the required information.
- Click Continue.
- Review the information on the confirmation page and click Request Money to send an email asking for payment.

How Do I Send Money:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click the Send Money tab.
- Fill out the form.
- Click Continue.
- Review the details of the payment, including the payment method. To change any information, click the appropriate Change link. Note: If you edit your payment details, the payment method will return to the default method of payment.
- Click Send Money to send the payment.

Basically you just need to send your PayPal ID (not your password, though) to the buyer, and he or she can take it from there. I can't think of a time when a buyer asked me to send an invoice, but that works, too.
