This was my first camera in 1989 (I was age 16) and my father bought me a Zenit 11. I loved it and spent all my money on film and developing costs.

I was intrigued by photography in the 70's as a teenager, and then got into it in 1980 as a senior in HS.

Went to college for photography (for fun, not as a career), got married (1983) and had kids.

When my kids were old enought to play in completative sports, my interest was rekindled (2000) and I've been up to my eyeballs in it ever since.

I got my first SLR, a Minotla SRT-201 in 1979 at age 14.

I've never lost the love of it all, and now my 12yr. old son has taken a big interest, s I'm getting him a film SLR for Christmas.

Just the 56 years so far - and still rubbish.Mind you I am better at Photoshop now than then

Finally someone with experience. Lots of youngsters here. I'm 57 and grew up with a darkroom in the basement. I used my Dad's WWII era Leica and a Speed Graphic from the time I could hold them. By second grade I was doing all the darkroom work.

I bought one of those in 1975 on my way home from South Korea. I gave it to my Dad because his Leica was in the shop and never took a photo with it.

My parents bought me a 110 film camera (remember those horrible things?) when I was 8 years old...I took photos of my friends, my cat, and family vacations throughout my childhood years. That was 31 years ago...

I didn't get "serious" until much later, and when I decided to finally take a class in photography my dad gave me his ancient Argus Cosina camera & lenses (he bought the camera when he was in the Korean War). This was around 12 years ago, so I would say my "serious" shooting began then...with a darkroom in my apartment, etc.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

I've been making photographs since 1939. No I did not use a Tintype camera. An Argus C3 was the big step up from a Box Brownie.

I've shot all sized cameras up to and including 8" x 10" professionally through the years.

Poor George Eastman's family "Diggy" has lowered thier income big time!
