Butterflies keep coming to my yard and every day I keep thinking that they could be the last butterflies I'll see this year. A couple af days ago I saw a Pipevine when I thought Swallowtails were gone for quite a few weeks.
So, here are some pictures of the butterflies I've seen lately in my backyard.

A Sulphur approaching a flower. I believe this is a Little Yellow Sulphur.

Beautiful series Socrate! The detail, colors and bg's are outstanding. I like all of these, but the ones that really caught my eye are 1, 2, 6 and 9. Thanks for the last look of these gorgeous creatures for a long time.

40D and 300mm?? hmmm Nice ...... When I first looked I would have thought 100mm Macro.

Hi Socrate,

These are great shots. DOF and lighting make them really stand out. The swallowtail shots are beautiful and thats' a great flight shot on the last one.

I just returned from Panama City and they were pretty abundant there too.
